Welcome, everyone, to my latest “get your ex back” advice article….
This time, I plan on keeping this short. All I’m going to do is answer the following question…
“Can Sending Your Ex Gifts or Love Letters Help Win Them Back?”
Thanks for reading!
…Alright alright, you want a more detailed answer? Fine.
I’ll tell you what I really think about the idea of giving your ex a gift or sending them any kind of gushy, spill-your-guts love letter to try to get them back.
I honestly cannot think of a single situation where this would be a good idea, and I’ve never recommended it to a client.
It’s just never a good idea.
Not for Christmas
Not for Valentines Day
Not for their birthday
Giving your ex any kind of gift when you want them back is basically saying, “I’m so desperate for you to take me back, I’m even willing to try and buy your love back…”
Total, complete opposite of what you want to be projecting to your ex if you’re trying to get back together. Many exes will see this as you trying to manipulate their emotions.
You need to appear like you’re thriving, you’re happy without your ex, and you don’t give a shit about them anymore…
You want to make your ex chase you. That’s the only effective way to change their mind about breaking up and re-wire their feelings for you and the possibility of a future together.
But what about love letters?
Love letters are JUST as bad as gifts.
Maybe worse. Don’t show your emotions to your ex at all, because 99% of the time it’s going to make you look needy, desperate, and vulnerable.

I actually realize that, unlike gifts, the idea of spilling your heart out to your ex can be appealing: you want to put it all out there, say what you feel and be done with it.
But, as someone who has helped over 100,000 clients reverse their breakups…
I can safely say this will not help you win back your ex. More than likely, it’ll hurt your chances.
The only thing you should be sending to your ex right now is my Clean Slate message template.
Basically this is a message you can send to your ex in certain situations where you’ve made past mistakes –begging, pleading, apologizing over and over — to undo that damage and help re-set your ex to an “emotional neutral” state.
It’s only for specific situations, and is somewhat of a last-ditch move, so the majority of you watching won’t ever need to send the Clean Slate message at all.
